“Where do I post my job?” for UR employees and departments

There are multiple job posting services throughout the university, including HRMS, JobLink (student employment), AURA (undergraduate research) and the Handshake platform administered by the Greene Center. Where you should post your opening is dependent on the following factors.

Should I still post my opportunity in Handshake?

Handshake is the University’s primary job search portal for students. While you must to post your position via the office/system above (particularly for paid positions) cross-posting it to Handshake will get your opportunity in front of many students. You can also post to other area schools or target schools depending on your need. For more information on how to post in Handshake, please see our employer page and request an employer level account if you do not already have one.

Please note that there are a couple of versions of the University on Handshake, including University of Rochester (non-medical campuses) and University of Rochester/UR Medicine (medical campuses and units). You can choose from amongst these or other variations (such as specific schools or departments), but we are no longer adding new departments to Handshake in order to streamline the process.
