This position is responsible for directing the organization, administration and activities of the Lean Innovation and Improvement Bureau, including oversight of all centralized training, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), recruitment, continuous improvement, employee engagement and change management functions as a part of the executive operations leadership team. This position is responsible for development, implementation and ongoing facilitation of a department leadership development curriculum and a robust department onboarding program. As a member of the department’s leadership team, this position organizes and administers various workforce development and process improvement programs in alignment with the organization’s strategic direction, values and goals. The position serves as the leadership expert in organizational development, formulating and establishing overall department priorities and programs to ensure a sustainable, high-performing organization and workforce. The position is responsible for monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of programs and policies and recommending improvements as appropriate. This position will advise department executives and the executive office of workforce development issues and program accomplishments and is expected to generate confidence in programs aimed at ensuring an exceptional, competent, and engaged workforce and efficient and effective processes to deliver the highest quality services to the public. The incumbent will work closely with the Office of Human Resources staff to ensure alignment between department processes, practices, and Civil Service responsibilities, regulations and specifications.
Education
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major.
Experience
Two years of professional managerial experience.
