Our client, a leading financial services organization, is looking to hire an Operations Analyst in Salt Lake City, UT.
Pay Rate Range: $21–$23/hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Support KYC and onboarding-related cases, ensuring required information and documentation are complete and accurate.
- Review and resolve unmatched trades, trade breaks, settlement exceptions, and other operational items.
- Investigate operational issues and partner with appropriate internal teams to identify and resolve exceptions.
- Monitor daily processes and follow established risk and control procedures to help prevent operational breaks.
- Support operational processes related to RIA-initiated investment products, including equities, fixed income, mutual funds, and retirement/IRA products.
- Collaborate with business, front-office, middle/back-office, compliance, legal, and technology teams to resolve operational issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to established procedures, controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze data and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
- Participate in training to learn team processes, systems, and workflows.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in financial services or financial operations preferred.
- Exposure to trade operations, brokerage operations, KYC, client onboarding, or investment products highly preferred.
- Understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle, including execution, clearing, settlement, and custody.
- Familiarity with the custodian-advisory model and brokerage operations.
- Experience identifying and managing operational risks, trade breaks, settlement exceptions, or unmatched trades.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Exposure to Alteryx, Tableau, Python, SQL, or RPA is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of operational controls and risk mitigation.
- Location: Salt Lake City, UT.
- Contract Duration: Initially expected through the end of 2026 and into Q1 2027.
- Potential Temp-to-Hire: Potential opportunity for permanent conversion based on business needs and performance.
- Start Date: Targeting November 2, 2026.
- Interview Process: 1 round.
