POSITION SUMMARY
Senior Accounting Analyst: This position reports to the Director of Finance and serves as a critical piece of the financial reporting and analysis team for two rapidly growing subsidiaries of Clark Associates. This position will have an elevated level of responsibility and ownership over financial operations in comparison to a standard senior analyst role. The position calls for someone who is comfortable communicating with business leaders, working independently, and demonstrating a proactive approach to financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a bachelors (or higher) degree in accounting, and/or 2-5 years of prior accounting/finance experience.
This will be a hybrid position, with 3 days/week in office required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
· Conduct ad-hoc variance analysis and prepare financial reports for stakeholders and financial leadership team.
· Collaborate with business leaders and Director of Finance on forecasting process, often serving as the primary owner of this initiative.
· Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
· Review/approve reconciliations prepared by accounting analysts.
· Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
· Review and approve journal entries prepared by accounting analysts.
· Work closely with the business leaders/key stakeholders of Clark Associates subsidiaries.
· Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data.
· Lead process improvement initiatives.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 2-5 years of professional accounting/audit experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
