We are a union construction company looking for an individual to join our team.
Responsibilities would include the following:
- Handling accounts payable task including analyzing vendor statement, ensure bills are paid in a timely manner, process payments (checks and ACH)
- Preform all activities to process union and office payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payments to employees
- Assist with general ledger accounting and reconciliation
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed
Requirements:
- Experience working in an accounting role or similar position
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in data entry and use of accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of payroll management processes and regulations
- Familiarity with general ledger accounting and journal entries
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Computer skills including Microsoft word & excel, Teams, Sage 300, Paychex.
