What to expect in this role?
Provides behavioral supports for individuals within the school setting based on student’s IEP. Conducts analysis, assessment, and consult with appropriate staff to develop function-based interventions focused on teaching pro-social skills and reducing problem behavior impeding access to the learning environment. Responsible for training all staff to follow behavioral programming. Completes all required documentation and reporting for PPT’s, progress reporting, and service documentation. Will function as a member of the interdisciplinary team within the school and as a member of the behavioral team across academies. Adhere to all school hours, required trainings, meetings, or other duties as directed by the Director of Behavioral Services and academy Director.

Essential Job Requirements:
The Behavior Analyst must possess a Master’s degree, be a BCBA in good standing, meet and/or eligible to meet the BACB supervisor requirements, and be licensed in the state of Connecticut as a Behavior Analyst. The Behavior Analyst must have at least 2 years of experience developing Applied Behavior Analytic programming and previous experience supervising BCBA candidates is preferred. The Behavior Analyst must have experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum, developmental disabilities or with behavioral challenges (ideally 2+ years’ experience). The ideal candidate will have previous experience supervising others within work settings (educational or human services preferred). They must have good organizational and interpersonal skills. Current certification in First-Aid, CPR, and PMT required (provided upon hire). They will engage in credentialing through insurance companies and other funding agencies, as necessary, upon application.
