AS&E Masters students, desiring to learn about possible career pathways as a graduate student? Want to hear from alumni who can provide their story and expertise in order to help you in making career-based decisions related to exploring possibilities? Would you like to have a free lunch on top of all this? Join us with an AS&E Masters alum at the Greene Center Conference Room (4-200 Dewey Hall) on Tuesday, March 12 and Thursday March 21 from noon-1pm for lunch (provided by AS&E GEPA) to connect and learn together! These sessions are part of an ongoing pilot-series to feature an alum related to degree programs and/or industry and profession interests that link with your own – come to one or more than one to learn about career possibilities and connect with alumni with free food to top it all off!
Tuesday, March 12 will feature alum Scott Reisinger, who has his MS in American History and has been primarily working in Independent Schools throughout his career, participating in two school boards, and retired this past July 2023 from his most recent position as Head of School. In a conversation with Dave Cota-Buckhout, Scott shared how beneficial networking benefited him in his career path. Thus, in this conversation with Scott, come with your questions related to navigating the networking process as well as working in the education industry, and share your own knowledge, interests, and career trajectories with Scott in an interactive conversation over lunch!
Thursday, March 21 will feature alum Craig Abbey, who has his MS in Public Policy Analysis and has been working in both Government and Higher Education industries throughout his career – currently holding the position of Vice Provost for Institutional Analysis and Planning at University at Buffalo. He has done policy analysis work for Congress and the New York State Legislature, and his most recent work involves helping connect the university and the surrounding area to reinvigorate the community. In this conversation with Craig, come with your questions related to his career pathways in Government and Higher Education opportunities, and share your own knowledge, interests, and career trajectories with Craig in an interactive conversation over lunch!
