Cupcakes and Connections: An Employer/Student Networking Event
Monday, February 12
4:30-6pm in the Greene Center Sponsored by HP Hood LLC Network with UR alumni and employers. Enjoy a sweet Valentine-themed informal networking reception with representatives from ESL Federal Credit Union, City Year, HP Hood and more! Refreshments, beverages, and, of course, cupcakes will be served! Register here!

Spring Career Expo
Tuesday, February 13 11am-2pm
Feldman Ballroom, Douglass Commons
Connect with employers for jobs and summer internships. Research companies and prepare in advance to maximize your time with employers at the expo. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with representatives from City Year, Epic, M&T Bank, Rochester AmeriCorps, Paychex, and many more. Dress for success. We recommend business or business casual attire. First impressions go a long way! Attend our Career Clothing Closet Open House and snag a professional outfit free of charge! Take a look at our clothing guide for additional tips. Get the Inside Scoop. Are you new to Career Week or need a refresh? Attend this prep session and get all of the details you’ll need for navigating Career Week successfully. Update your resume. Meet with a peer career advisor duringDrop-in Hours for a resume critique or cover letter development.

Virtual Spring Career Expo
Thursday, February 15
2-4pm
Handshake platform Sign up for employer sessions in advance. You can only attend sessions you registered for. Registration closes when a session reaches capacity. Check out this article to learn how to register. Update your profile if you have not already done so. Some employers set qualifications to define which students can register for their sessions. To ensure you qualify for employer sessions, make sure your school year, major, GPA, and work authorization statusare up-to-date on yourprofile. Double check your technology. You’ll need an internet connection, speakers and a microphone, and a supported device. Learn more about technical requirements for virtual fairs here.

Inaugural Women & Diversity in Tech Speaker
Thursday, February 15
7-8:30pm
Wegmans Hall 1400 Join us for a moderated discussion and open Q&A with two outstanding women in technology! This event is perfect for everyone interested in technology, data science, engineering, business, working for Google, GE, Xerox or L3Harris, and the experiences of women, minorities and international students in the technology field. Featuring two UR alumni: Manali Maity, ’19S MBA and Technical Solutions Consultant at Google Jennifer Allen ’97 BS Chemical Engineering, ’10S MBA – Senior Engineering Manager – Program Management at GE Renewable Energy
