This Week in the Marketing & Creative Community | January 24, 2024

Hello, Marketing & Creative Community, here are some opportunities for you. We hope you’ll join us on campus at Rock Your Next Conference and/or the Professional Etiquette Dinner if you’re available!

Featured Opportunities

1/31, Rock Your Next Conference

Attention STEM students! Are you planning to attend a professional or academic conference this spring, summer, or even next fall? Whether you’re new to the experience and unsure of what to expect, or an old pro just looking to step up your game, this annual mock mini-conference has something for everyone!

2/1, Professional Etiquette Dinner

Dinner, stories, and new alumni connections! Join the Greene Center for a lively evening with Professor Jonathan Shipley to learn more about developing your professional communication and networking skills. This program won’t focus on which fork to use, instead, it’s an opportunity to talk with other students and local alumni who are joining us to share their stories from the workplace – successes, missteps, and how they responded to them. $10/ticket.

Deadline 2/9, The Meliora Collective Mentorship Program

Registration is open for the 2024 Spring Meliora Collective Mentorship Program, designed to connect you to a mentor who has been where you are, who will answer questions, give advice, and a view into their world. Sign up today to talk with someone who wants to help you succeed!

Due 2/25, Humanities For Life Internship

The 2024 Humanities for Life (HFL) Summer Internship Program, funded by a gift from Schwartz Community-Based Internships, connects students to paid internship opportunities with non-profit organizations in the Rochester area. These internships help students access traditionally unpaid opportunities that highlight the value of the humanities in the workplace while building critical skills.

Due 2/27, PlacemakingCorps Service Member

Concrete Safaris’ PlacemakingCorps is a grantee of Public Health AmeriCorps and receives funds from its State and National program. Individuals, ages 17+, serve for 2 – 10.5 months exploring a career in public and environmental health and placemaking, while supporting youth development and community building.

Due 2/29, Girls Rock! Rochester

Girls Rock! Rochester’s (GR!R) internship program provides emerging leaders with the opportunity to help create a safe space for Rochester’s youth and our community at large. Involved in both the arts and music community and youth programs sector, interns can expect to expand their knowledge and develop experience by collaborating with our hard-working board and staff members.

Due 9/14-3/11(Rolling), Moody’s Non-Technical Summer Internships

Seeking real world experience? Consider learning more about Moody’s summer internships as a way to gain business experience. These opportunities include Marketing, Communications, Research, Finance, and Human Resources internships.

Due 4/19, Apple TV+ Production Department Intern

As a Production Intern, you will make an impact at Apple by developing yourself and collaborating with top industry professionals. At Apple, great ideas have a way of becoming great products, services, and customer experiences. Bring passion and dedication to your job, and there’s no telling what you could accomplish.

To discuss these opportunities or more, schedule an appointment with a Greene Center advisor through Handshake.

Have a great week!
