Camp COAST Counselor at Empowering People’s Independence (EPI) in Rush, NY | Applications due April 30 at 6am

Camp COAST allows campers to experience typical sleep away camp activities such as swimming, rock wall climbing and water sports in ways that they might be discouraged from trying due to their epilepsy.  In addition, there is a vocational component that allows these emerging adults the opportunity to explore job skills in preparation for work experiences. Our higher staffing levels and access to medical professionals give families and caregivers confidence that their adult campers, some with special needs, will be safe while developing social-emotional skills as well as outdoor skills and new experiences.

This is a great opportunity to assist with hands-on care while providing support and guidance to campers, so if you’re looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity, check out the posting here!

Assist campers with epilepsy and sibling campers to develop confidence, try new things, and create lasting friendships in a fast-paced, fun camp setting! Camp EAGR allows campers to experience typical sleep away camp activities such as swimming, rock wall climbing and water sports in ways that they might be discouraged from trying due to their epilepsy. Our higher staffing levels and access to medical professionals give parents confidence that their children will be safe while developing social-emotional skills as well as outdoor skills and new experiences.

Camp EAGR allows our campers to recognize that epilepsy does not define them or stop them from having fun or reaching their goals. Our camp counselors are a vital part of this process.  If you are looking for a rewarding volunteer experience like no other, we welcome the opportunity to discuss details and success stories with you, so check out the posting here!
