The role
Our head instructor, Phil Rulloda, is a surrealist floral designer with decades of award-winning work, a loyal following, and an eye-catching creative brand. We’re looking for an innovative, enthusiastic student to bring his world to Instagram, grow his audience, and turn that excitement into new students for the school.
We’re starting with a one-month trial. You’ll have plenty of chances to meet Phil in person, capture him on camera, and turn that footage into engaging Reels.
Want a taste of who you’d be working with? Watch Phil on PBS and on Youtube.
You’ll have a lot to work with:
- Phil’s own floral videography, full of striking visuals
- A founder who loves reciting poetry on camera and is excited to go live
- A beautiful home studio in Fullerton where flowers, art, and personality come together. He is making arrangements daily.
- An IG account with 2.5k pre-existing followers; @philrulloda
- Original 1980s VHS footage, already digitized and waiting to be cut into nostalgic, scroll-stopping clips
What we’re looking for
- A current CSUF student studying marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field
- Comfort filming and editing short-form video (CapCut, Premiere, or similar)
- Experience with AI content creation tools for video editing, captions, and other content, and a sense of when to use them
- A strong sense of Instagram trends and what makes people stop scrolling
- A creative eye, and bonus points if you love art, design, and flowers
- Reliability and the ability to work independently
Details
- Contract: One-month trial, with the potential to continue
- Pay: $200/week
- Hours: About 9 hours per week
- Hybrid: In-person shoots at our Fullerton location, with editing and posting done remotely
- Start date: ASAP
