Job Title: Junior Accountant
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our accounting team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who is eager to grow professionally and gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations.
Responsibilities
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
Prepare and post journal entries
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
Help review expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance
Support audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation
Perform other accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
0–3 years of accounting experience
Basic understanding of GAAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables a plus)
Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Xero, etc.) preferred
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and time-management abilities
Preferred Skills (Optional)
Internship or part-time experience in accounting
Experience with payroll, invoicing, or sales tax filings
Willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility
