Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Supply Chain Team. This position will provide an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in logistics and freight operations, working alongside industry professionals in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You will assist with day-to-day operations and gain exposure to various aspects of the freight forwarding process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the logistics of shipments, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth transportation processes.
- Monitor shipment status and provide updates to customers and internal teams.
- Assist in processing import/export documentation, including customs clearance paperwork.
- Support the development and implementation of operational improvements and solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve any operational issues or challenges.
- Contribute to various ad-hoc projects and provide administrative support as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Strong interest in logistics, freight forwarding, and the supply chain industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized with an eye for detail and ability to multitask.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
