Position Title: Camp Photographer

Position Summary:
The Camp Photographer is responsible for capturing pictures of campers and camp staff throughout the camp day. These pictures will be uploaded to a website for parents/guardians of campers to view and download. The Camp Photographer must be able to effectively capture moments during camp that show campers having fun. This position interacts directly with children, so the Camp Photographer must be able to relate well with children.
Camp program happens in many locations with terrain varying from flat to hilly. The Camp Photographer will be walking around the camp properties to take photos of campers doing a variety of activities throughout the day in varying weather conditions.
Major Accountabilities:
- Maintain our online camp photo library that provides parents visual updates of their child’s time at camp.
- Capture, edit, and upload photos of campers daily for the online photo library and marketing purposes.
- For NH day camps: drive between Bedford and Portsmouth, NH to capture photos at each camp.
- Communicate effectively with camp staff and marketing team to get the best content possible for photo sharing site and social media.
- Interact with children daily and capture them in candid and posed moments.
- Understand how to take and choose the best photos that will show campers having fun and engaging in activities.
- Meet daily deadlines for photo uploads.
- Develop weekly schedule to ensure each camp unit is photographed while participating in different activities throughout the week.
- Exhibits positive behavior through actions and words.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Accountabilities if accepted in work offer:
Duties as the camp photographer at Camp Farnsworth are part-time, so other duties will be assigned for the full-time position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Familiarity with capturing active subjects
- Experience with photography and photo editing
- Acceptance of the Girl Scout Promise and Law
- Knowledge of camp safety
- Experience working with children and adults
- Ability to communicate quickly and efficiently with staff members and campers
- Ability to walk around camp properties for extended periods of time
- Adheres to, and ability to carry out, all personnel policies and camp procedures
Essential Skills & Abilities:
- Travel is required for this position, so a driver’s license and vehicle are required.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to work outside for extended periods of time.
- Creative eye and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience with video is a plus.
Work Schedule:
Day Camp: The position is full-time Monday through Friday during Camp Season. The Camp Photographer will be taking photos at Camp Kettleford in Bedford, NH and Camp Seawood in Portsmouth, NH. Camp Photographer must balance time spent at camps taking photographs and time spent in Bedford office, uploading photos.
Overnight camp: The is a full-time position with part of the time spent as camp photographer, plus other assigned duties.

Training Requirements:
- Participate in all required staff training.
