Summary:
The Clinical Mental Health Therapist operates as a Generalist to serve all age ranges and populations, reports to a Clinical Supervisor, and works closely with them to ensure client needs are met and that the health record is complete and accurate. Therapists provide diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, psychoeducation, and psychotherapy to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a caseload of patients (any ages) that allows for billable hours commensurate to full or part-time schedule.
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments based on diagnostic changes, insurance requirements, and agency procedures.
- Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans for clients and update as appropriate.
- Assess safety concerns regularly and create safety plans with clients, as necessary and appropriate.
- Complete referrals, transfers, and discharges based on client level of care and current need(s).
- Ensure all health records and other documentation are current and within state and federal laws, as well as all policies and regulations specific to their license.
- Coordinate with referral sources and other organizations to ensure consistency of care across services.
- Plan and manage weekly schedule and productivity requirements.
- Communicate with clients and their families as needed – inside and outside of sessions.
- Maintain Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work license for duration of position.
Qualifications:
- Required – Licensed Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist (LPC, LSW, or MFT)
- Experience with private practice preferred.
- 1 or more years of counseling experience.
- Experience with public health, health plans, state agency mental health centers, or federally qualified healthcare.
- Valid driver’s license and unrestricted.
- Some travel between sites and as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Google Workspace, including Google Meet, Email, and Chat
- Video platforms, such as Zoom, Teams, and others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Data analysis, including but not limited to health records
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team
- Maintain high level of confidentiality
- Group presentation and public speaking
