With Thanksgiving on the horizon, it’s a time for wrapping up midterms, catching your breath, and maybe daydreaming about mashed potatoes and a few quiet days off. But before you shift fully into holiday mode, it’s worth taking a moment to think ahead—especially if a summer internship is on your wish list. Many employers in industries like finance, consulting, and tech are already reviewing applications and setting up interviews. Getting an early start now can make your spring semester a whole lot easier.

Greene Center and Career Community Programs

The Greene Center is excited to announce the launch of our URochester Internship Program that includes four elite programs for summer 2026. These experiences are designed to provide you with valuable, hands-on experience in different industries and diverse roles. Students must apply individually to specific internship roles in Handshake, not the program itself. For more information, check out the URochester Internship Program website

  • $3,000 – $10,000 stipend depending on the program 
  • Two summer excursions 
  • End-of-summer celebration 
  • Internship credit (with transcript notation) 
  • A dedicated career advisor

Join us for Master the Art of Emails: Write with Clarity, Confidence, and Impact, an interactive workshop led by Dr. Katherine Schaefer, Professor in the Writing, Speaking, and Argument Program (WSAP).You’ll gain practical strategies to apply professional writing techniques in different contexts, and use AI tools to strengthen your writing.

Make It Happen Prize 2025–26 | Deadline November 1st at 11:59pm

The Barbara J. Burger iZone Consulting Team are looking for applicants who demonstrate curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to completing the program as they further their projects. The prize offers up to $1,500 in funding for students, faculty, and staff who are University of Rochester students or alumni, or who are partnered with one. It supports startups, research projects, and other early stage ventures. Projects that make strong progress may receive up to an additional $1,500 in follow on funding. Participants also receive training in systems thinking, pitching, and other key skills to help them strengthen and grow their ideas.
