Employer Road Trip: American Red Cross Biomedical Laboratory | Friday, September 26, 1-2:30pm
Do you want to see where all of the blood collected by the American Red Cross in NYS is processed?
Join us for a tour of the West Henrietta Blood Donation Center, Biomedical Laboratory, and John Street facility. We will cover a brief history of the Red Cross in Western, NY and show you where all the blood that is collected by the American Red Cross in New York State is processed into blood products to help support our nationwide effort to supply 40% of our nation’s blood. You will follow the blood journey from start to finish. Transportation will be provided. Be sure to register here, as space is limited!
Emergency Department Research Associate Program | Applications Due October 6
All undergraduate students of all majors and years can apply to join the Spring 2026 EDRA internship program! Structured as a four-credit course through the Department of Public Health, this course is designed to expose students who are interested in careers in health and/or research related areas to clinical research in the emergency department setting. In addition to hands-on clinical experiences in the Emergency Department, students will learn to think critically about research protocols and successful study execution, and develop competencies that will support successful transition to post-graduate education or job opportunities.

The LifeSci NYC Internship Program | Apply by December 31 – Early Deadline for Summer Applications!
Now in its ninth year, the LifeSci NYC Internship Program invites college and graduate students (and recent grads) to apply for summer internship opportunities in science, tech, and business capacities. The program seeks to provide experience and training for students and recent graduates interested in pursuing careers in the life sciences industry, so host companies and organizations range from early-stage startups to large pharmaceutical and biotech firms to businesses that serve the industry in specific capacities, including marketing, public relations, or capital investment. Some opportunities are also available in companies in the food tech, climate tech, and biomaterials sectors. Students enrolled in a New York City-based college or university or New York City residents enrolled in any college or university are eligible to apply. Those who graduated in spring 2024 or later are also eligible. Apply here!
Workshop Facilitation Internship at Soaringwords, Inc. | Rolling Applications
Seeking several candidates for Fall, Winter, and Summer cohorts to lead in-person SOARING Into Positive Wellbeing Workshop Series for residents and staff at skilled nursing/long-term care facilities. Reliable transportation and driver’s license required, as the facilities are located in Fairport. You would be tasked with teaching a workshop once a week for 7 weeks, discussing wellbeing with members of the elderly community. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in public health, psychology, social work, or medicine!
This internship varies in terms of hours and timing, with opportunities available for 8-12 hours or 14-20 hours. There are also cohorts in both the fall and the spring.
