The Washington Center: Academic Internship Program

The Academic Internship Program combines personalized career coaching, immersive hands-on experience and access to a dynamic network of peers and professionals in Washington, D.C.—a city where ideas turn into action. You’ll return to campus with a clear plan for success after graduation and the tools to build a thriving career.

The Rodel Institute Internship Program

The Rodel Institute Internship Program is a summer professional development opportunity for undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates. The application for the 2025 summer internship is now available. Please use this link to submit an application.

Rodel interns will work with smart and committed colleagues doing important work to advance Rodel’s mission of strengthening American democracy. Rodel interns will have the opportunity to support the Rodel Institute’s four fellowship programs as well as contribute to the Edwards Book Award.

Historic House Internship at Seward House Museum

The Seward House Museum is offering a paid, in-person summer internship for history enthusiasts. Interns will conduct guided tours, assist visitors, manage the gift shop, and complete a special project in a department of their choice. The program provides training in historic interpretation, networking, career coaching, and workshops. Interns can focus on areas like education, curation, marketing, research, or administration. Applications are due by April 4, 2025, with interviews afterward. The internship runs from June 3 to August 8, 2025.

Navigating Your Future Career With a Disability 

Join us on Tuesday, March 4th from 6:00-7:30PM. The Greene Center’s Students with Disabilities identity community is partnering with Active Minds and Eye to Eye to host an engaging panel and networking event focused on navigating the transition from college to your first job and strategies for professional success while living with a disability (both visible and invisible, including mental and physical health). Our panelists—Rebecca Block and Nicole Cavallaro — will share their personal experiences of managing disabilities in the workplace and provide valuable insights, guidance, and advice. The discussion will cover a wide range of topics, including mental health, depression, addiction, student well-being, physical disability, neurodivergence, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Peace Corps: Alumni Insights & Info Session

Join us on Wednesday, March 5th from 5:00-6:00PM for an event with Peace Corps alumni as they share their personal stories and experiences from their time of service. Whether you’re interested in learning about the impact of volunteering or how to get involved with Peace Corps, this session will provide valuable insights and guidance. The Greene Center is excited to host a clothing pop-up event on Wednesday, March 5th from 12:30-2:30PM to help you dress for success! Rochester Youth Year

Rochester Youth Year (RYY) is a yearlong AmeriCorps VISTA fellowship for recent college graduates. Fellows serve full-time with a community organization, focusing on indirect, capacity-building service to support sustainable solutions to poverty. Tasks include recruiting volunteers, building partnerships, writing grants, fundraising, conducting outreach, planning events, and developing programs. Fellows gain hands-on experience and access monthly professional development to explore community-oriented careers. 2025 Geopolitics of Technology Forum

Apply today for the 2025 Geopolitics of Technology Forum, a national technology policy conference co-hosted by the GeoTech Initiative; the Yale Schmidt Program on AI, Emerging Technologies, and National Power; and the National Security Institute at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School!

The conference is a two-day event, held on April 10-11th in Washington D.C., and will feature frontier speakers from both policy and technology backgrounds.

University of Rochester: John H. Berman Memorial Award 

If you are a senior who plans to attend law school in Fall 2025, apply for the John H. Berman Memorial Award!

The award of approximately $6,000 will go to a graduating senior who “demonstrates the self-motivation, achievement, leadership, concern for others, reliability, and commitment to high moral principles” that characterized Mr. Berman’s life. Mr. Berman was a highly esteemed attorney and UR graduate who practiced law for 57 years. The award is endowed through contributions from Mr. Berman’s widow, his friends, and the law firm of Woods Oviatt Gilman, LLP where Mr. Berman practiced for 6 years until his death.
