  • Schwartz Community-Based Internships: Various internships with non-profits in Rochester, NY, are available, including roles at organizations like the Open Door Mission, YMCA, Red Cross, and Girls Rock! Rochester. The application deadline is February 23, 2025.

  • The Washington Center Academic Internship Program: Offers career coaching, hands-on experience, and a professional network in Washington, D.C., helping students prepare for post-graduation success.

Past to Present: Alumni Roadmap to Networking

Join us on Tuesday, February 25th from 5:30-7:00PM for an evening of connecting with alumni, with a focus on historically marginalized communities, to hear their experiences navigating the workplace and building social capital within various fields and career paths. There will be a 20-minute panel followed by small-group discussions. A dinner buffet will be provided!

International Connections

Join us on Thursday, February 27th from 5:30-7:00PM! The evening will feature international alumni who have studied and worked in the U.S. sharing their experiences navigating the workplace across various industries and career paths. Alumni will join us virtually, while students gather on campus for interactive and meaningful conversations. The event will include:

  • Alumni-led discussions about their professional journeys.
  • A Q&A session to address students’ questions.
  • Dedicated networking time for students to engage with alumni and peers.

Peace Corps: Alumni Insights & Info Session

Join us on Wednesday, March 5th from 5:00-6:00PM for an event with Peace Corps alumni as they share their personal stories and experiences from their time of service. Whether you’re interested in learning about the impact of volunteering or how to get involved with Peace Corps, this session will provide valuable insights and guidance. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with a passionate community and explore how you can make a difference!

University of Rochester: John H. Berman Memorial Award 

If you are a senior who plans to attend law school in Fall 2025, apply for the John H. Berman Memorial Award!

The award of approximately $6,000 will go to a graduating senior who “demonstrates the self-motivation, achievement, leadership, concern for others, reliability, and commitment to high moral principles” that characterized Mr. Berman’s life. Mr. Berman was a highly esteemed attorney and UR graduate who practiced law for 57 years. The award is endowed through contributions from Mr. Berman’s widow, his friends, and the law firm of Woods Oviatt Gilman, LLP where Mr. Berman practiced for 6 years until his death.
