Join us for an evening of connecting with alumni, with a focus on historically marginalized communities, to hear their experiences navigating the workplace and building social capital within various fields and career paths. There will be a 20-minute panel followed by small-group discussions. A dinner buffet will be provided!

The evening will feature international alumni who have studied and worked in the U.S. sharing their experiences navigating the workplace across various industries and career paths. Alumni will join us virtually, while students gather on campus for interactive and meaningful conversations.

The event will include: Alumni-led discussions about their professional journeys, a Q&A session to address students’ questions, dedicated networking time for students to engage with alumni and peers.

Sign Up to attend Navigating Your Future Career with a Disability | Tues. March 4th 6-7:30pm | Feldman Ballroom

The Greene Center’s Students with Disabilities identity community is partnering with Active Minds and Eye to Eye to host an engaging panel and networking event focused on navigating the transition from college to your first job and strategies for professional success while living with a disability (both visible and invisible, including mental and physical health). Our panelists—Rebecca Block, Nicole Cavallaro, and Lena Wiedemann—will share their personal experiences of managing disabilities in the workplace and provide valuable insights, guidance, and advice. The discussion will cover a wide range of topics, including mental health, depression, addiction, student well-being, physical disability, neurodivergence, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Program Flow: Panel and Q&A: 6-6:45pm, Networking: 6:45-7:30pm. Refreshments will be provided.

BCG Advance is an inspiring, interactive, invite-only virtual conference for sophomore/second-year women currently enrolled in a college or university in the U.S. or Canada and graduating between December 2026 – July 2027. The half-day conference is designed to help women prepare to become leaders in consulting and the global business community.

 

Summer 2025 Internships for UR Students

The Greene Center is excited to invite you to apply for two prestigious internship programs for Summer 2025: Schwartz Community-Based Internships and Bond Family Scholars Internships. Both programs offer internship opportunities for UR undergraduate students in the Rochester, NY region.  

Schwartz Community-Based Internships 

This program connects students to internships with non-profit organizations such as the YMCA, Susan B. Anthony House, American Red Cross, United Way, The Strong National Museum of Play, and more working in diverse roles. Benefits of participation include:

  • $5,000 stipend
  • Two summer excursions 
  • End-of-summer celebration with the Schwartz Family 
  • Internship credit (with transcript notation) 
  • A dedicated career advisor

Bond Family Scholars Internships 

This program connects students with diverse, paid internship experiences at for-profit organizations like Paychex, Avangrid, First American Equipment Finance (FAEF), CPL, Corning Incorporated, and more. Benefits of participation include:

  • $3,000 stipend (in addition to a paid internship) 
  • Two summer excursions 
  • End-of-summer celebration with the Bond Family 
  • A dedicated career advisor
