MCAT and Casper Test Dates for 2025 | Testing Calendars Available Now!

Medical school applicants preparing for the MCAT or Casper examinations can check out the 2025 test dates now!

  • Registration for the MCAT is already open, so take a look at the 2025 Testing Calendar from AAMC to be sure you are registered on time, and to see when your score will be released after testing.
  • Casper registration will open in January, but take a look at the upcoming Casper Test Dates as you consider which one may work best for you. 

Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) | Applications Due February 5, 2025

The Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) is a free summer program for students to explore their interests in medicine, dentistry, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, public health, and more. The program takes place at our 11 partner institutions and offers students a chance to develop competencies for becoming successful applicants to health profession programs, plan academic journeys, get clinical exposure, and network.

This is a great opportunity for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors interested in healthcare! Students from backgrounds underrepresented in the sciences are especially encouraged to apply to gain clinical exposure, develop skills, and learn more about health policy issues. LifeSci NYC Internship Program | Applications Encouraged by December 31, 2024

Now in its eighth year, the LifeSci NYC Internship Program invites college and graduate students (and recent grads) to apply for summer internship opportunities in science, tech, and business capacities. The program seeks to provide experience and training for students and recent graduates interested in pursuing careers in the life sciences industry. Host companies and organizations range from early-stage startups to large pharmaceutical and biotech firms to businesses that serve the industry in specific capacities, including marketing, public relations, or capital investment. Some opportunities are also available in companies in the food tech, climate tech, and biomaterials sectors. Check out some of the possible options here in the job posting.

Students enrolled in a New York City-based college or university or New York City residents enrolled in any college or university are eligible to apply. Those who graduated in spring 2023 or later are also eligible. Apply directly here!

Bachelor’s Level Research Assistant at RAND | Applications Due by January 10, 2025

RAND is seeking highly motivated Research Assistants to work in a variety of research areas including health, mental health, education, human resource and workforce management in the military, national and homeland security issues, cyber security, disaster resilience, equity in public policy, justice policy, infrastructure and energy and environment issues. Research Assistants work as members of multi-disciplinary research teams, addressing complex policy problems.

A Bachelor’s degree in sociology, psychology, education policy, health policy, research methods, public policy, or similar field is required. To apply, check out the job posting here.

Undergraduate Healthcare Leadership Internship (UHLI) – Hanley Center, ME | Applications Open January 6, 2025

The Hanley Center’s summer Undergraduate Health Leadership Internship (UHLI) Program connects undergraduates with paid experiential summer internship opportunities in health and healthcare sites across Maine. This is a great opportunity for students interested in developing strong ties with healthcare leadership in the state of Maine, and who are interested in working or practicing in the state once they join the workforce! Students interested in health careers, including policy, administration, research, and clinical work, are encouraged to apply here beginning on January 6 when internship applications are open.

Students are also welcome to attend a virtual information session on January 13, 2025 between 6-7pm. Applications are due February 23, 2025.
