Research Assistant at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, MA | Rolling Applications

Join the Orthopaedic and Arthritis Center for Outcomes Research as a Research Assistant, either in clinical research or health policy research. This is a great opportunity to work on a wide array of ongoing projects and to further your research skills, which makes this position ideal for students interested in pursuing careers in research, medicine, public health, medical economics, or related fields. They are seeking students with strong quantitative and communication skills, who are collaborative team players. NIDA Summer Research Internship at the National Institute of Health | Applications Due January 7, 2025

NIDA’s Office of Research Training, Diversity, and Disparities offers paid summer research internships to expose undergraduate students to the field of substance use and addiction research.  Selected students work with distinguished scientists at research institutions across the United States for eight weeks during the summer. Internships involve hands-on experiences that may include laboratory experiments, data collection, data analysis, formal courses, participation in lab meetings, patient interviews, manuscript preparation, library research, literature reviews, and more. QSURE Internship Program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center | Applications Due January 18, 2025

The QSURE internship program is designed for motivated undergraduate students with a passion for quantitative science. Each student will be paired with an expert mentor to work on an individual, data-driven research project that aims to answer pressing questions in cancer. The program will provide hands-on skills in biostatistics, epidemiology, health outcomes, and/or computational oncology. To apply, check out the link here.

Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship: Upstate Medical University | Applications Due February 1, 2025

The aim of the SURF program is to expose undergraduate students to biomedical research. In an intensive ten-week summer program, undergraduates with appropriate faculty help will formulate their own proposal, carry out research under the supervision of one of our faculty, write a research paper and have the opportunity to see their work published. In the process, students will attend research seminars, present and participate in a student journal club, present their work, and participate in discussions on alternative careers in research and how to apply to graduate school. The program offers participants a $6,200 stipend along with free university housingCheck out the application here.

Pharmacometrics Intern at Boehringer Ingelheim Corporation in CT | Applications Due March 20, 2025

As an Intern, you will be assigned to your own pharmacometrics project and work under the supervision of an experienced pharmacometrician. The project scope includes but is not limited to performing hands-on pharmacometrics analysis with appropriate software (e.g., NONMEM, R) based on pre-clinical and clinical pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic data and collaborating with other stakeholders in drug development. Post-baccalaureate Research and Education Program: Upstate Medical University | Applications Due March 31, 2025

The State University of New York Upstate Medical University, College of Graduate Studies is offering research training opportunities for its Post-baccalaureate Research and Education Program (PREP-Up). Students accepted into the program will train as apprentice scientists under the supervision of an established biomedical scientist and participate in courses for skill development. Each student will be provided a stipend and benefits for the 12-month period as well as the opportunity of taking two full-credit courses free of charge.

Applicants should be undergraduate students from underrepresented groups in good academic standing, who will have completed their senior year of study by the end of spring semester 2025, and are majors in a biomedical-related field, such as chemistry, biology, neuroscience, microbiology, etc. Find the application here.

2025 Summer Intern Drug Delivery at Bristol Myers Squibb | Applications Due April 18, 2025

This internship is part of the Drug Product Development (DPD) function, based in New Brunswick, NJ. DPD focuses on developing novel formulations and processes for clinical and commercial drug products. Summer interns will work with mentors for ~10 weeks on a guided research project within a PD Project Team. The program is organized to ensure that interns gain valuable industry and functional experience, work on challenging assignments, learn about BMS and meet diverse company representatives.

Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited university program seeking a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering or related discipline, and must still be enrolled during Summer 2025. Check out the application here.

UR SON Master’s Into Direct Entry Nursing Program Virtual Info Session | December 9, 4-5pm

The School of Nursing introduces the Master’s Direct Entry into Nursing Practice program, a 16-month accelerated path for college graduates to earn a master of science in nursing degree and become licensed registered nurses. The program goes beyond traditional nursing education by integrating graduate-level coursework in leadership, ethics, and healthcare policy, preparing graduates to tackle today’s complex health care challenges. Applications are now open for fall 2025.

John Hopkins Global Health Master’s Degrees Virtual Info Session | December 10 at 12pm

The Health Systems Program, based in the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, is hosting an upcoming information session on two master’s degrees.

  • The MSPH in Health Systems degree is ideal for those who are interested in roles in policy and planning, health financing and management, and monitoring and evaluation of health programs in low- and middle-income countries. The deadline to apply is January 15, 2025.
  • The MHS in Global Health Economics is a 9-month degree program that is ideal for those interested in using economic tools to help solve pressing global health problems. The deadline to apply is June 1, 2025.
